MULTIFUNCTIONAL NETWORK ANALYZER WITH RCM
The UMG 509-PRO is a powerful grid analyzer with residual current monitoring that measures harmonics up to the 63rd harmonic. The analyzer has two digital inputs and two digital outputs.

VOLTAGE QUALITY
Reliable operation of modern installations and systems always requires a high level of supply reliability and good power quality. UMG measurement devices reliably record, analyze and document all disturbance variables, such as harmonics, unbalances, transients, voltage dips, overvoltages, flicker, phase shift and reactive power.
REPORTING
An important component of the grid analysis is the report generation of GridVis®. It provides a quick and clear representation of the voltage quality in defined time periods. The power quality reports are based on international standards (EN 50160, EN 61000-2-4, IEEE 519, etc.). In addition to the PQ reports, energy consumption reports are of great benefit to the user. Generation and dispatch can take place automatically according to freely definable schedules.
HARMONICS
Harmonics are caused by equipment with non-linear characteristics, such as transformers operated in saturation, energy-saving lamps, frequency converters and power electronics. They burden the grid with additional currents and can affect or even destroy equipment. These grid perturbations can be detected and documented using power quality analyzers.
DIFFERENTIAL CURRENT (RCM)
A conductive RCM residual current monitor detects fault currents at an early stage, before they lead to system failures or even fires. It is already integrated in certain UMG measuring devices. The required RCM measuring current transformers can be retrofitted if required. Continuous RCM monitoring significantly increases system safety and availability. In certain applications such as data centers, residual current monitoring is mandatory due to the requirements for high availability.
ALARM MANAGEMENT
The GridVis® alarm management system monitors all measurement parameters obtained by the UMG measurement devices. It includes escalation management, logbook function and user administration for individual notifications by e-mail, pop-up window on the monitor, etc.
In addition to monitoring RMS values, short-term interruptions and transients as well as communication with the measuring devices can also be monitored.
ETHERNET-MODBUS-GATEWAY
Modbus RTU devices that are connected to the master device as slaves can be very easily integrated into an Ethernet architecture via the Ethernet Modbus gateway. For devices with an identical file format and matching function codes, this is possible directly via the Modbus RTU interface.

THE EVALUATION AVAILABLE AT ANY TIME
Each measuring device has an integrated web server with its own homepage. The measuring device can be operated via the device’s own homepage as well as via the device display.
In addition, current and historical measurement data, including power quality parameters, can be called up on a large scale. The advantage of the device homepage is the constant availability of measurement data – without prior software installation.
The user immediately receives an overview of all energy data. The device homepage can be displayed on any end device and is adapted according to the device functions (responsive design).
The uniform design of the GridVis® visualization software and the device homepage makes it easy to use.
